International Online Student Review

We have our first international online student and here is what he has to say:

Are you an artist?

If drawing stick figures, no. If painting across lines, no. If spilling paint all over, no.

But if someone tells you that we are all artists. That there is no right or wrong. That we

all have an imagination. And that we can all express it.

Then yes, I am an artist.

My journey started in 2024 in an art center at Moffitt Cancer Center, waiting for my wife

on a second chance at life. Doodling around with six colors of water paint and a blank

paper. And someone telling me ‘They can see something in” whatever I was doing.

For my 67 th birthday, my wife (now in recovery), surprised me with a lesson package and

wine evening at Kanvas and Krafts. We were in Arniston for a few months as part of her

healing process.

And that was when we met Candice Language! She changed my life. We continue with

lessons to this day, and I am proud to be her first international student. It is amazing

what social media can do across oceans. It is even more amazing what Candice can do

with this senior! Thank you.
