At Kanvas & Kraft Art Studio, creativity is more than just self-expression — it’s a way to heal, connect and empower.
Founded by Candice Language and joined by Andrea Sachse, Kanvas & Kraft has grown into a community-driven non-profit organisation dedicated to making art and creative education accessible to everyone, regardless of circumstance.
Together, they created the “Give With Us” initiative — a heartfelt movement that invites others to join in giving back. Through this programme, donors help fund tuition fees for students who otherwise couldn’t afford art or sewing classes, opening doors to opportunity, confidence and hope.
Candice Language
– Founder, Artist & Visionary
Kanvas and Kraft started as a dream.
"What I wanted was my own studio, a place where anyone could feel calm and comfortable to be who they are."

A safe and inclusive creative space where children, teens and adults could experience the same joy, peace, and confidence that art had brought into her life.

Candice contacted her friend, Andrea Sachse and asked her if she had an interest in starting a sewing studio to accommodate more students. Andrea is an international handbag designer with a passion for sewing. We worked at creating her vision along with mine and since then, the studio has grown from strength to strength.

Candice's natural ability to connect with people and nurture their creativity has made Kanvas & Kraft a place where everyone belongs — from budding young artists to seniors rediscovering their creative spark.

Her mission is to use art to help as many people as she can.

Art has the power to transform lives. All it takes is someone believing in you enough to hand you a paintbrush.

About Kanvas & Kraft Art Studio
Where Creativity Meets Compassion

Andrea Sachse
– Sewing Specialist & Community Mentor
Partnering with Candice, Andrea brings her passion for sewing, design and practical creativity to the studio.
Through her workshops, students learn valuable life and crafting skills — from basic stitching to creating meaningful handmade items.

Andrea’s teaching goes beyond fabric and thread; it’s about building confidence, independence and purpose. Her classes empower students to express themselves while learning skills they can use both personally and professionally.

" Having worked on my own for so long and finding other ways of earning an income is my driving force to empower women and the next generation to stand up for themselves and independently earn a living. Learning a skill like sewing can make a difference.
I believe that Candice operates from an emotional point wanting to provide healing through art and I am more practical wanting to provide skills for upliftment. Together we can make a difference in our community combining both needs into one. "

“Every stitch tells a story of resilience, creativity, and care.”
The Heart of Our Mission
– “Give With Us”
Creativity that changes lives.
The Give With Us NPC was founded with one goal in mind: to make creative education accessible to all.
Candice says " I help anyone and everyone who walks through our doors. I go out of my way to show them they don’t have to have painted - or even picked up a pencil for that matter - to be creative and express themselves and experience the freedom of art. "
Our studio has grown from having four students to now having 44 “Give With Us” students and 24 “Kanvas and Kraft” students, bringing our combined total of students to 68.

Many of our students come from challenging backgrounds — children from child welfare programmes, schools for autism and individuals seeking healing through art therapy.
Your donation helps provide these learners with: Art and sewing tuition Creative materials and resources Mentorship and emotional support. A community that believes in their potential. Looking Ahead:
Kanvas & Kraft continues to grow as a creative hub for education and empowerment. With plans to expand into an online store offering locally crafted art and sewing products, every future step aims to sustain the work of the NPC — creating opportunities, supporting students and celebrating art in all its forms.
Together, Candice and Andrea are turning creativity into community and art into action.
